Quarter of seven and the sun is coming up
I’ve got no juice to fill up my cup, what’s up
With the ranting and the rhyming
It’s to early in the morning for tequila and lime
The days are still gray still thinking about payday
Writing rhymes on the page to keep the boredom away
Now it’s twenty passed eight and I’m still pondering my fate
The always plenty of time to sit back and create
The songs that I feel that make my life real
Play’en the bass with grace and making music with appeal
Rolling through this time trying to make my dime
Acting like life is moving just fine
Laying the word to the page while I smoke the wide gage
I can’t help but feel an under lying rage
But I never regret, I never forget
Songs from the mind can make the world shine
Not that it’s a crime for me to waste my time
But I get a chill down my back when ever I here the bells chime
But I’ll bide my time as I relate to the rhyme
And it can only be now just a matter of time
So the morning rolls on wishful thinking tapping the bong
Never worrying about the places people think I don’t belong
Cause I’m strong and I don’t mean smelling
Like there’s apples in the Motts I got brains in my melon
Don’t worry about me selling out
Cause I’ve seen it before and know what it’s about
So I turn it out for all my fans and my friends
And I’m hopping at this point that the music never ends
And in the morning of a new day I can’t help but relay
That the facts of this life are you take it day by day…
So I never regret, I never forget
