“Half way to hell”

It’s a far cry from the dreams I had this morning

Scenes of lightning thunder electricity

Pain strikes my every nerve these bad dreams I do not deserve

Now in this moment and first waking hour

Reality slowly seeps back into my head

I was sure before I awoke this morning

My life my existence my being was dead

Happy to be here back among the living

All though I now know a new kind of fear

One I can hardly describe

And in you this is what I confide

Half way to hell is how far I fell this morning

Before I returned from the other side

Devil’s tried to carry me away

Praise the lord I’m still here to say

Earth quakes as the storm serge breaks

As the devil pulls me down

Halfway to hell is how far I fell

Before reality came crashing down
